Generally, we meet on the 3rd Monday of every month in the Heritage Farmstead in Plano at 7 PM
Visitors are always welcome.

Basic annual membership dues are a modest $24 per person, renewable in January.

Our Montly Meetings
At seven o’clock we begin with introductions followed by a short business meeting and news of upcoming area storytelling events. Members sign up to tell stories. “Just beginning” and “well-seasoned” tellers may offer a story-in-the-rough or a well-polished tale. Supportive critiques are offered to those tellers requesting feedback.
We have the privilege to meet in the historic Young House on the grounds of the Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano. Our close relationship with the museum offers opportunities each year for us to share our craft of storytelling with the community. http://www.heritagefarmstead.org/
From time to time storytelling workshops are offered. Also, as an affiliate of the Tejas Storytelling Association, we are closely involved in statewide events: the annual Texas Storytelling Festival in Denton, the annual summer conference, and October’s Scare on the Square. http://www.tejasstorytelling.com/

The North 40 Storytellers Guild is dedicated to the art, craft and tradition of storytelling in North Texas. We offer a friendly environment in which to listen and to tell stories of all sorts. From the tallest of tall tales to the deepest tales of personal emotion, we celebrate the spoken word and the diversity of the human experience. We welcome seasoned professional tellers, first-timers, those who just like to listen, and those who wish to learn. We also offer public programs and educational events.
